Default FLUCTUATING IDLE SPEED

man this is getting old. 5 months..3 visits to a mechanic and 1 to the dealer and still having issues. I have changed the the crank sensor, cam sensor, the rotor , cap, and spark plug wires. I have tested the IAC and the map sensor. no check engine light comes on...throttle body is clean, ran injector cleaner through and have patted my head and rubbed my belly it stll misfires at idle and typically RPM fluctuates between 800 and 900 but jumps down to 700 and up to 1100 at moments. it gets better when warmed up. but the gremlins like to play their games. it is a 99 sport 4 cylinder manual transmition and only has 82000 miles on it.( only 5000 on the new clutch) idle problem occurs both with the clutch in and out.also now seem to be getting a knocking in the engine when cold... like I said..

sure that ur wires are good there could be a short im gna call it in one of them..

ive also seen bad plugs rite outa the box, are they the correct plugs, somtimes the highshcool kids at the AP store mix things up and the box part# may have been rite but the plug in the box wasn't...

Try this.

With the truck running, go to a dark place (garage with the lights off) and spray some sort of liquid on the wires. I have always used windex it seems to work the best. If you see any sparking that will tell you if you have a short in one of the wires.

If it's moving up and down I would think it's a vacuum leak...

your Throttle Position Sensor could be going out also. They do get worn spots in them and start to causethings like sporatic idle. This happend to one of my cars and also my 01 dak at 74000

Oh and I know you said you cleaned the TB but your Idle Air Motor also could be acting up, did you inspect it to make sure its clean and functioning. If it sticks at all you would see idle problems
