engine stalling....????
Alright, I have a 99 3.9l 2wd dakota. I have beengetting some really sh**ty gas mileage lately (13 tops!) When I go to start it up it will fire up but will then sound like it is starving for gas. I have to give it gas before it will idle. Then when I go to put it in gear it will start to bog down and die. I go to start it back up and it will take a few cranks to start back up. Once I get going down the road and stop at a stoplight or stopsign, it is fine. What sounds like the problem here? I am stumped and am not sure if it could be contributing to the gas mileage. I ran some seafoam (about a half a can) right into the intake. Gave me a great 'seafoam cloud' for about 15 minutes. Other than that, I have not done anything to this.
PS How hard is it to change the spark plugs!? What is with those metal heat shields. Anyone have a tip for removing them or am I just stupid?!
