No Starty Starty
So I left my lights on at work today which ran the battery down, obviously she's not going to start that way. Hooked up the jumpers to our diesel work truck and she cranks strong but will not catch. I had been having some problems with the fuel pump relay though usually if I frig with it a bit the pump primes and she'll start. Not sure how to go about troubleshooting this one. Cap, rotor, plugs and wires are all less than a year old and I am pretty sure I can hear the pump priming when I turn the key 'on'. This one has me confused. I even swapped out the relay for another one (the A/C relay) but no luck. Any suggestions would be welcome.
OK, I unhooked the negative side of the battery and left it off for a few minutes then reconnected it and let the computer reset. She fired right up and I got her home. Though in the back of my mind I didn't actually solve the problem. Could the problem still be a poor connection at the panel?
OK sorry to throw this back up on top but it happened again. I can keep it running ifI stay on the gas pedal but as soon as I let off she stalls. Doesn't sound rough when I'm on the pedal, it almost seems like the base line RPM's are set too low to keep the motor running -- does that even make sense? I am really stumped on this one....
