Default 04 Dakota

Hello
I recently bought an 04 dakota, club cab, 4x4 with the 4.7, auto. It is a nice upgrade from my 92 dakota.
The truck only has 60000miles on it, I have had no problems with it at all.
However I have been told by a few people and read on a couple of websites the transmissions are bad in these trucks.
I was wondering if anyone has experienced headaches with these transmissions?
My 92 dakota has 190000 miles and I never had a tranny problem whatsoever.
Thanks for the help.

You should have the 545RFE transmission. I wasn't aware of issues with the 545. It's also mated to the Hemi, and the current 4.7. As far as I know, it's a great transmission.

Are you sure those sourceswere referring to this model transmission andnot, the 45RFE? I'd clarify your source.

i beleive its just the 45rfe, alot better then whats bolted behind the 3.9's and the 318/360's, but like very other transmission out there, you beat on it, ya it will fail
