Default Buying advice

I used to own a 1999 Ram 1500 extended cab 5.2L v8 4x4 and the gas mileage was rediculous. So i sold it and bought a car. Now i want to buy another truck so I decided to look into the Dakotas. I am looking for an extended cab 4x4 and the 4.7L? I was wondering what engine will get the best mpg. The truck will be my daily driver and iwill be towing my atv around on the weekends. Is there anything a should be specifically looking for? or anything I should look out for?
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Mike

Get the 4.7, but it probably won't get much more mpg than your Ram, and gets around the same as a V6

the 4.7 gets about 15-16 in the city(well at least thats what my truck gets and its very much the same) and over 20 on the highway and there really is no difference from the v6 so id get the 4.7
