Default slipping around corners

my truck will slip going around any corner. if i give it any more than a little gas it feels like the truck will not engage as the rpm's climb. i have to take every corner slow until i straighten up and the problem ceases. any ideas?
3.9v6, auto,95k, factory rear end (the one where the right tire will spin). i replaced the transmission pan last year removing the cork(big pain. used a razor blade to scrape off stubborn spots) and put on a new gasket. there are no leaks and the transmission fluid is not low (right on the top mark) i used the recommended fluid from this site (AT4?) i cleaned out the pan and magnet replacing everything back as it was.

maybe i should attach a photo of where on the stick the fluid is? i just thought i may be something else...

sounds like something wrong with the rear end since it only happens around corners.

moe in wichita ks
sounds like the spider gears went south. the best way to fix it is to replace the entire rear end. cause it has metal parts roming around in there and it has damagedthe other parts, ie ring and pinion gears. check the the salvage yeards in your town. or ( cost more ) get some 4x4 mags and check out the adds for a rear end outfits. let us knowhow it turns out.

u also drive a pick up with no weight in the bed so theres traction on the wheels.

royal: what do you mean? the tires are not spinning. you ever pull out in traffic and need to give some gas so you don't cause oncoming traffic to brake while pulling out of a drive? if i do that the truck just reves up while coasting until i back off the gas and it will "catch" again. if i am driving straigt (traffic light) i can put it to the floor with no problem. it's hard to expalin vehicle problems once you start putting it into words!

kansas: cool. I am hitting up a few motorhead friends to see what my options are.(i can't do much past oil changes) might as well go with a 4:10 while i'm replacing it? i'll start by reading up on dodgeforum first. When i do go through with it, i'll reply to this thread.

thx

has this problem occured right after you dropped the transmission pan? when i changed my fluid in mine, didnt add enough fluid and the transmission would disengage on turns only, pump would lose fluid, make sure you check your fluid level on a level surface in neutral. i dont think the rear diff is the problem, these rears are pretty reliable for the most part.

im with moe on this one, most likely the spider gears or the differential since it only happens in turns. you could have a shop look at the rear end and see what they say.
