I have thought about this quite a bit myself. The SSBC kit would be the cheapest way to go, even at $800. I tried to get a price list together from our parts department the other day, and with the exception of the rotors, calipers, and pads, everything would have to come from your dealer or a junkyard. First of all, there is a bracket that bolts to your axle tubes ($100 ea.) then you have to get caliper brackets ($75 ea.) and brake lines, but I can't remember the price of them. And that doesn't include the pads, rotors, and calipers. The other choice would be to find a complete Dak rear axle with disc brakes at a junkyard.....no easy task either

Sidewinder Customs has a Viper disc brake conversion kit - it isn't cheaper than the SSBC kit, but it's better...

As far as I am aware the Sidewinder kit comes with everything you need except calipers, rotors, and pads. I believe the main reason why you source those parts on your own is to give you flexibility with brands, plus the option to save money by buying used Viper parts.

I'd highly recommending contacting Darren @ Sidewinder with any tech questions.

I would go with the Sidewinder kit, but its not like any viper stuff in gonna be cheap, u know!

00 R/T, so have you looked to see if other companies beside SSBC made anything at all?

For some reason, i'm hesitating about the fact thatthe SSBC kit isonly a1 piston. Ordo you guys thinkthat plentty?

Lets Face it, we love our trucks, but the cants stop for ****!

SSBC is the only company I have found that offers a complete kit, but I'm sure there are others out there. As for the 1 piston caliper, for rear brakes that is more than sufficient and also much better than drums any day of the week. The calipers should be the same for any late 2nd gen Dak with discor rear disc Durango
