Anyone know for sure if the 5 speed automatic tranny that came on the 4.7 fit on a 5.9???
I'm looking for a direct bolt on... Fabricating is not my intention. I would just LOVE to have one more gear since I'm only getting around 9-10 miles to the gallon right now. (4spd)

 

Youd would have to see what kind of tranny you have, look in a haynes manual for both trucks to make sure its the right tranny

Nope. A 3.9's bellhousing will fit a 5.9.
