Ok so I have a 1/4 drag race comming up, my dakota vs a low 12's suburu legacy AWDwith LOTS of mods with old tranny, he now has a race tranny an hasnt ran it yet. We are racing for 1000. I have plety of money to put in my truck for I am in iraq right now and come back next month to the states. I now have on my truck the following, vortech supercharger, powertracx rear diff, shift kit, 2200 stall, headers, hi perf cats, flowmaster 40's. Now i want to put on my truck heads, cam, rockers, new comp, wider tires, traction barsan some gearin like 4.10. I wanted to ask you guys what have you done that works an will make my truck quick, i want to keep the 5.2 in ,an not motor swap it. So any info or tips would be awsome.

 

with those mods you wanna do, its gonna cost you way more then $1K

Only tip i have is don't mess an even lightly modded scoobie. I have done a few and they will kill you. It's all about HP vs weight. as Collen Chapmen said, add lightness.

 

by god i tell you what a moncie supercharger will add like 27.65 1/2 hp more then what you got now i've seen it happen lol jk unless you dont like NOS backfire then i would even touch nitrious

 

I would pull the motor. I know you dont want to. and get a 360 stroke it to a 408 and get all forged internals and add a 300 shot of nos. then it will be a closer race. how much is in your budget for all these mods? and do you have a reg cab or a cc

 

I was thinkin about stokin it, what would it all intale an how much will that run? It is a standard cab 6th bed, im plannin on spendin like 4000.
