tranny issues

Default tranny issues

truck is an 03 with a 4.7and a 5speed auto.ok so i get n my truck 2leave this afternoon.starts up fine &takes off fine but when it shifts into 2nd it acts like a when you let the clutch out to fast on a stickshift and if i give it any more gas the rpms just shoot up and the tranny slips.next lite it dosent do it but everylight after it does. it seemed to not to be as bad once the truck warmed up but i was tryin to keep it out of 2nd.now the check engin lite has been on all the time for a week&i hav called the shop but the truck has not acted up for a single second until today.oh and when the tranny messes up real bad the check engin light flashes for a few seconds. some1 please help me i am worried this is gona b expensive.

get in touch with these guys. i have known them from the 60 s they are honest. 90% of ALL trans shops get parts from a & reds. they will know the answer to any question.

leme guess you've never serviced the tranny? my .02 in trannys is take it to a shop, kinda hard to diagnose other than to drive the truck...

varsisYou mean the clutch packs?

Sounds like the trans is on the way out. Servicing probably is out of the question at this point.

What are the codes?

took the truck to the shop last nite.drove it around the block and it refused to mess up...same with the drive down to the shop.light is still on.idk i have not herd back from the shop yet.
