Default Torsion bars

Yea,im new on here and loving the info and the tech on here.I have a 2000 std cab sport 4x4 3.9 with 213.000 on it and it has been the best truck i have ever owned,I only had to replace the air condition compresser at 130.000 and now my water pump which is unbelievable.Other than that regular stuff.brakes, tires, belts etc.My question for everybody is the tortion bar crank up? I just did them yesterday at my buds shop and it worked out great,we measured the wheel wells in the back and gave the same in the front, ajusting a little at a time till all four wheel wells were even.We didnt crank them all the way cause it would not have been even all around,so a week ago we did the allignment and it all diled in.It has a little stiffer ride and less body roll now which is cool with me,but i was wondering about the long term outcome of this adjustment? I dont use it off road so im not gonna tear nothing up or put added stress on front end parts so just curious about what some of you that have done this have to say,Thanx

First welcome to DF!

Secondly you can safely crank them 2". I havent done it tho i think it was done by the owner before me, wish i knew too cause if i knew i could do it i would block the rear end and get myself a bit more space for tires. It has been done by many people on this site and i havent heard anything negative yet.

Thanx for your answer,I just got out the tape measure and after driving it around for a day it seemed to settle. And now my passenger side front is 1/4in.higher that the drivers side,so now im going to make up the difference so there even measurements on all four wheel wells.Hopefully this will give some others some help on there adjustments?

Yea,i heard that too,not to bottom out the bolts for the torsion bar adjuster bolts.Im glad that i have the even hight on all four wheel wells without the bolts being near bottomed out,i think there is still about an inch of thread left before they bottom.

Thats a useful tid-bit of info that i havent heard before. Is the 2" roll just a different take on that?

Ill have to look at my front end to see if i can get an idea if its been done by a previous owner.....
