I just bought an 04 quad cab. My passenger seat only reclines a few degrees back from vertical. The drivers side doesn't have this problem. Is this something that's normal or is my seat busted? Is there a way to fix it without buying a new seat? We're about to go on a road trip and my wife is pregnant, there's no way we'll make it if the seat is busted like this.

i got an 04 quad also. bothof my seats dont recline to far at all. It sucks, i like to take naps at work. i gotta park on a hill to get a comfortable nap. Wonder if there is a fix for that? Prob gottagrind somethin down where it stops the seat at. Ill look at it tomm.

 

Hmmm, I have an '03 QC and pretty sure it will lay back pretty far. I know the passenger seat will go back at least 30 degrees or more.

 

Yea, my 02 leans back pretty far, damn near to the back seats.

 

hmmm well I wonder if something is busted then. I just have cloth seats (sport model, pretty basic inside). I was thinking they just used the same seats from the regular cab model.

DropD, did you get a chance to look at your's? It looks like I may have to find some time to get out the socket set and dremel.

My passenger goes back as far as the driver on my 04QC. I remember reading on another forum for daks that someone did something to have it recline all the way til it was just touching back seats. ill see if i can find it.
