1998 dakota, Lost my remote entry wondering if it is safe to order one off ebay and get it programmed at the dealer?

I got one for $12.50 from ebay... had the programming done at a big locksmith for $25. Get out your local yellow pages and call the locksmiths for a quote. (My Dodge dealer wanted $65 for the remote and $70 for programming).
