i would have to say that since a 31" tire will fit on without a lift, you should be able to get a 33" tire on there with a 2" lift.

I have a '97 Dakota, 2WD, and it had a 3" body lift and 32x11.50 tires. I personally wouldn't have gone any larger, and already had to do some slight trimming near the bumper to keep them from rubbing. I wouldn't go larger than 32x11.50 myself.

I upped mine to 18's from the stock 17's and went an additional 3in wider without a lift kit or any kind of mods. I wouldn't push it any further than that on a stock non-lift... My cousin lifted his 4" and put on some mud boggers and only had to slightly modify the front wheel wells. Not sure the size of his tires tho, maybe you can tell from the pictures. You can kinda see his (red) behind mine (silver) in the full-size pic from my profile;

Don't mind the police car. We were workin on the back end of my truck when one of my cousin's buddies (police officer & fellow wrench head) decided to stop in and see what we were doin.
