p.s. its not polite to spam your own thread.
I was not spamming my own thread! It only lets me post a line or two at once! read the post!
Also, i was not relying on this, i called as many mechnics as i knew, but i thought someone helpfull on here might know exactly what it was. Its worth a shot.
And a PS for you, dont post in my thread if you dont have anything helpfull to say...

I was thinking a turmostat issue as well, since i made it home fine once it was cool in the evening, also once i fixed my electric fan it stayed on, which made a differince.

Very posable! So my question for you, would it shut off if it got too hot (or thought it was too hot)? Never heard of it doing that. If so i almost know that is the issue.

Partner, I don't have a clue if you engine would shut off when temp is too high, I would believe it would, however. Can you remove your thermostat and test it in a jar of water? A service manual is posted on this forum:

HOW TO OBTAIN SERVICE MANUAL
Click on Dodge forum on the top menu
Scroll down and click on Dodge Intrepid
Scroll down and click 2nd Gen Intrepid
Scroll down and click on THE HOLY GRAIL
Then click on the link 2nd Gen LH service manual
from there you can download parts 1 and 2 of the manual.
You will need Adobe.

Well, Here is the case that I had which was similar, If you have ground wire, maybe a remote starter, inaways if one of them grounds out it will shut your vehicle right down and not allow spark at all.

Interesting... thanks! I"ve had a crap load of wireing issues, so that might be part of it, though i still think its an overheating issue. Anyone know if my computer would shut the truck down if it got too hot?
