Default Need help fast!!

So on my way to work today my truck died on the highway... I was going about 70, so i drifted to the side, and tried to figure out what was wrong... my starter cranked, but it would not start. And my ABS light was on...

After checking fuses and plugs for about 20 minutes it started right back up, but i never did figure out what had been wrong... So i kept going to work, 4 miles later it did it again, same thing, 15 minute wait, back on the road...

Whats odd, is that at first, when it stopped the ABS light was on, but as soon as it started again (20 minuets later) it went off
My oil was good, as well as the tranny fluid. But my tempiture was a little high, but not up the the red yet.

I make it to work, and when i get there, my antifreeze was bubbling over the right side spill thing. And my temp was spiked to 210 (still not red) i also find that my fan was off (its a eletric fan and pulls air lake crazy) i jiggled the wires and it went back on. Now i remember it being on earler, but my guess is that the bumping of my big tires made it go off...

So could high engine temp make the engine shut off? Is there a deadman switch or anything? It seemed to run fine when it started back up both times.

Its a 99 dakota, 5.2 4x4 with 33x12.50 MT tires. Just replaced the engine and it has 50k miles on it (truck is 107k)
I'll be leaving work at 9 tonight, so i hope i make it home.
I fixed the wireing durring my lunch brake and now the fan wont go off when i jiggle it.
Thanks,
~Samuel

you shouldnt depend on forums to get you out of a jam... Although this can be a very useful tool, you should keep in mind that many of these will be opinions...

p.s. its not polite to spam your own thread.

Yea, I don't know why it would keep dying. Some people have had similar problems, but I don't remember what the "fix" was (people don't usually post back with the fix after the problem... and it doesn't help out other people!)

We've had problems with the forum not liking long posts, it's been a recuring problem.
