Default Rattling noise on front end

I have started to notice quite the annoying noise coming from the driver side front wheel. Whenever I hit a crack or small pot-hole, I hear a short rattle. I had my suspension checked and they could find the source, even after replacing a few parts. After trying to find the problem myself, I found that if I'm using my brakes when I hit the bump, nothing happens. Would it be possible that it's coming from my brakes?

maybe a loose caliper bolt. Try tightening them...

might also be wheel bearing, or even your rotor some how coming looser...

+1 on the loose, or possibly even missing caliper bolt. I had one come out before and had the same problem. Mechanic went for a ride with me and had him stumped. He thought stones got into the cat heat shield. I know you said you had the suspension checked, and looked yourself, but double check the lower mounting bolt on the front shocks. Had one of them come out before too and that rattled like crazy over every little bump.

Default Rattling noise on start up and low speeds

I have just recently noticed a rattling noise in the front around the passager side tire or middle. Kind of like a metal hitting metal or an akorn hittling metal. It happens from a cold start up or when i am going at low speeds. What should I be looking for and looking at I am still trying to isolate the sound. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

I have the same noise from the drivers side. I haven't noticed if the noise went away with the brakes. I'll check in the morning. Also having a mechanic check on Tuesday. I'll let you know if he find anything. Also mine. Is a 4x2 1500 20005

Sounds just like when a caliper bolt came out on my truck. Annoyed the **** out of me as I looked over everything else, first. One stupid bolt.

Did it fall out or just blackout and laying loose in the caliper?

If it goes away after the engine warms up, that's probably the lash adjusters (aka "Lifters" on a push-rod motor).

ill put money on brake parts issue.. i have a 2000 dak, and the right side upper caliper bolt warped out the threads on the knuckle, and wouldnt stay in, i ended up replacing with new hardware (grade8), i will take a pic if i can and post it, but odds are its brake related.

It fell out. I had put new brake pads on the week before. I must have forgotten to tighten that bolt.
