Default Frame mounted EVAP box leaking oil?

Changing the oil and scoping out a possible catback dual conversion today and I noticed the frame mounted EVAP box seems to be leaking oil. I didn't think there should be oil in it. No check engine light and running great. What if anything should I do about this? It's a '99 Dakota with the 3.9 v6.

I guess nobody has ever seen this. Lots of lookers though. I thought there may be a defect in the emissions system, but who knows?

I'd be willing to bet you have a bad PCV valve. The EVAP canister is connected to intake vacuum via the purge solenoid. If you check your lines there you will probably find oil also.
