Default opinions please

ok, heres the nature of the matter
i have 2, 5 gallon air tanks,
they are going to be mounted in the toolbox behind my cab,
the only other things set for the box, is 8 valves and wiring/airlines to the valves,
the compressors are mounted up under the truck and i like them there,
i will run a single line from the 2 comps into the box to a tee to the tanks, so both tanks act as 1
so i got to thinking of tank locations within the box, heres the options.

#1

basic, however air lines may get messy with port locations

#2

still simple, connect tanks in the middle with a tee and connect both compressors and gauge line (to gauge in cab)
but limited space around ports, would require 90* elbows on all ports. but keeps lines near front of truck.

#3

little different, but i get plenty of room between the ports and walls of box.
however it does take up a little more space in box

#4

same thing but different angle

i just wanna get some input other than the little voices in me head

i like #2.
saves room for a few small other things you may want to throw in there.

option 1 but maybe move them to one side or the other then you have a good amount of space on the side where the tanks aren't

+1, thats what i would do and i would put the compressor in the box as well, but that's just personal preference

yea i was thinking the same thing, if you have room for the compressor in the box that is what iw ould do also and i like #1 best w/ a compressor on each side maybe

well ok, the compressors need airflow since viairs run hot and can burn up, which would be expensive, im looking at compressor locations here now, i am gonna go with the second option for the tanks,

hopefully i'll be able to get train horns pretty soon so i can use all this junk lol

most likely jam the compressors on the outside of the frame rail, that should be a decent amount of air flowing by in that area. where are you thinking of putting the train horns?
