Default Adding forced induction with a different turbo

Hello all. I was just wondering if to install a turbo off of the exhaust such as like the squires turbo sytem. If you could use just any old turbo, and if anyone has done something like this.

I believe you can. Either way it's a turbo.

Cool. i guess a couple of my questions are. will the turbo need an inter cooler to stay cool. or do the same principles aply like with squires turbo air flow cools the pipe to the intake hat.

Anything can be done with any turbos as long as you have a good guy to fab for you and tune.

okay understand the fabbing. but tuning. What are you meaning by that. does the turbo need to be tuned or does the truck need the tuning.

boost you can tune it to a certain amount. This will change how fast it spools and how much power you get. too little is a waste, and too much can cause problems you need to find the happy medium.

there are two schools of thought:

A) take a small turbo from an import which will spool faster

B) take larger but much stronger turbo off of a diesel truck

the small one will spool faster but will not kick as hard, whereas the second option will take slightly longer to spool up but will kick you in the ****in teeth when it boosts. i would do option B, but that's just me.
