Is there any way I can make my 99 3.9 Sound pretty beastly for maybe $700?

I know it's only a v6 so I'm not expecting too much

magnaflow, they sell the kit for around $460 online. i have the cat back dual outlet on my 3.9, sounds nasty. from low end to top end, deep hum without in cab resonation. plus it's full stainless steel

If you live in a non-emission check state, hollow the converter(s) and run a cherry bomb or Magnaflow/SpinTech/Thrush muffler. No need to pay for a kit, MOST of the time a local pipe shop can do what you want for cheaper than the kit.

agreed and a hooker aerochamber would sound pretty good i would think on a 3.9 its really deep on my V8 and i've heard them on straight 6's before and they sound pretty good

Yes. Cut about a 1-2ft section of pipe behind the converter. Use a broom handle or something hard and jam it into the converter. It's filled with a honeycomb-like setup. Punch it out for a bit, start it up and rev it a couple times to blow it out. Turn it off and repeat. Keep doing it until it doesn't rattle inside the converter anymore.
