Gas light, where does your's come on?

Not a clue. Just says that in the owners manual. I asked myself the same question.

lol i think mine takes like 21.9 gallons at the light and it has only ever gotten that low 1 since ive been driving it well i wasnt driving it i switched cars w/ my mom for a day and she drove all over creation w/ it and gave it back w/o any gas in it (idk how long the light had been on for b4 i got to the station tho) btw i have a 24 gallon tank

anybody know why it would hurt the cat? i am still wondering about that... i don't think it should but then again idk.

I just checked my owners manual. And it says "To minimize the possibilty of damge to the catalytic converter" - Do Not allow vehicle to run out of fuel

I think that's what I was referring to. I kind of mislead you. Sorry about that.

Still.....it is interesting.

I think it was on page 157 of my 2001 Dodge Dakota owners manual.
