for us guys with the stock system, we use either ngk v power or autolite 3923
s, which are a heat range colder i believe.

with an msd ignition you'll want to run autolite 3923's with an .045 gap. stock is .040 but you'll be able to open it up with that hot coil and ignition.

I almost forgot to ask can you use e3 plugs with these ignition sytems and if so would it be a benefit?

yes you can use e3's, but they only give you a benift for like 500 miles. a guy on another forum has tested them with his customer's trucks (he only does dakotas), and they like wear out very soon. halo's are the absolute best spark plugs for the 3.9/5.2/5.9, but they're really expensive. most people just go with the autolite 3923s.

Now is it recommended to run one or two heat ranges colder? Also if I were to go the halo route what plug should I be using? Also I hear its best to stay with a copper plug because the msd burns through the platinum plugs much quicker.

3923's are one heat range colder than stock, i wouldnt go any lower. im not sure which halo plug to use, and yes... copper plugs run best with these engines.

I just witched mine to the autolite 3923's from platinums and I have to admit there is a difference , yes the platinums worked very well for the short time I ran them but the autolites make a bigger difference mainly in smoothing out the engine .
