I just wanted to put closure to this thread. The four kids were caught that vandalized the truck, and many other vehicles. It appears if you're truck came with the smooth top bumper like mine it is painted black. If it came with the rough top bumper it isn't. Nothing will fix the bumper except repainting the top black piece. Two out of the three fathers of the kids personally went to everyone's home who was affected. A local body shop will detail anyone's car who was affected at their expense. I took my truck to the body shop, and their going to refinish the bumper top with a different paint that will look the same, but hold up better. The fathers are going to pay the $50 bill. I thought it was great they dealt with this with the attitude they had. I don't know if they will try to get the other father to pay his share or not. That father had 2 kids involved. Since a lot of threads on here are started, and never brought to a conclusion, I wanted to let everyone know what happened. Thanks for all the advice.

 

glad to hear you're truck will look better than it did a week ago. atleast 2 of the 3 fathers have the decency to take care of the damages.

 

excellent, there's something you don't often see, people being held accountable for their actions. OK, maybe a dumb question.... why not just paint match it to the rest of the car?

That's awesome I'm glad they found out who it was and are taking care of it. When I was in middle school and high school there were a bunch of little **** stains like that that lived around my house, luckily my jeep never got hit when I had it except last year when I gave it to my sister while I was up at school. Luckily my dad was taking the dog out and heard them and chased after them and scared the **** out of them I wish I could have been there because it would have been great too see.
