Default from a 6 lug to a 5

i got to thinking that it would be cool have a 5 lug on my truck and was wondering if it would be much of a hassel to swap over from the 2nd generation 6 lug eaither the 1st or 3rd generation.....i know it wount be a bolt in swap...but could it done in a weekend?

how much would aftermarket swaps be?
how much in general would it take to do this swap$$$$$
and how much labor to do it?

and im sure that it would need an alignment afterwards

Accually it can be a simple bolt in swap. Use wheel spacers there alot to choose from. Some can change your wheel bolt pattern. Check these sites out. We have this listed on 1st gen FAQ. The only bad thing is it may stick your tires out a little bit. But you can also offset your wheel backspace to get a stock look.

1987 - 1990 5 x 4.5" (lots use this bolt patter from chevys to toyota)
1991 - 2004 6 x 4.5", 6 x 114.3 (rare hard to find)
Like said above most 1st gens share the same 6 lug

Check ebay lots to choose. Some to convert bolt pattern size too.

dude on another forum i frequent just put corvette lugs and rims on his, not super cheap or easy to do since there is a bit of fabrication needed to get everything to fit, and be safe

int there some kind of regular maintenance with spacers? like monthly torque check on the lugs and whatnot?
