I have a Superchips 3715, and have had it for almost a year now and I LOVE IT. I havn't had the chance to actually dyno it or anything but I can tell a HUGE difference in the power of my truck. I have a 2003 Dakota Quad-Cab 4x2 w/4.7L. As far the fuel savings, well it just depends on how heavy your foot is. It improved mine from about 15 around town to about 16.5 to 17 around town and I have gotten 21 on the Interstate. But if you drive it hard it's not going to make that much difference. As far as it burning up your pcm, i've had the program on performance in mine almost the whole year and nothing has gone wrong yet. I actually saw one sell on ebay 3 days ago for less than $100 used. I payed $400 for mine when I bought it.

well thats good to hear the s.o.b. wont burn up the pcm. ive gotten the inside on some horror stories of some tuners cooking the ecms, mainly in rice burners. can never be too cautious when it comes to a daily driver, ya know?

i know a jet chip will burn up a PCM, it happened to someone in the first gen forum not long ago. the pins on the pcm were melted.

jet chips suck anyways the pcm learns around it so after a while your back to your stock settings and you just wasted $150 bucks

haha basically thats what my last tank of gas the first full one on performance with 93 was. to start off the full tank of gas i raced my roommate in his honda and then the rest of the tank consisted of short trips to my hockey games that are like a mile away from school or 70-75 mph trips to wal mart or the mall so basically the truck barely ever got warm plus it got a lot colder up here and it had to warm up a lot more and what not. anyways all in all i got about 15 mpg with nothing but short trips and romping on it on the hw or racing. not to bad if you ask me plus if you consider the winter gas and the truck having to run richer on start up to warm up more then it used to have to now that its cold, i'd say thats pretty good. i filled up when i was at bloomsburg fixing my jeep last weekend for my sister and i took it easy on the way back to PCT and only went to hockey once so i'll let you guys know either tonight or tomorrow when I fill up what my highway mileage is with the superchips set to performance. i doubt ill be seeing the 19-21 i was back in the summer just because its cold out but i might since it will be all hw and i took my clutch fan off now. ill be going back to bloom in about an hour so she can follow me home so i'll be putting like 150 miles on it today pretty much all hw. im sure in the summer if i keep my foot off it i'll be able to get 21-23 because i was getting 20-21 without the tuner at all. haha sorry i wrote a book.
