Default CD Player problems

Hey guys. The stock cd player reads "burned" cd's with no problem whatsoever! but as soon as I put a cd from an artist in, it makes some strange noises, ejects the cd and says "Err". I've tried about 10 different "artists" cds, and none work, but as soon as I tried about 10 burned cd's they all worked? I'm gonna put in a different cd player once I get a little more money, but for now this will have to do. Any suggestions? I know sometimes the cd player will say like Err 20 or something, but this just says Err.. so i'm lost..

CD player laser is getting weak and/or laser alignment. If it's a top notch system take it to a place that handles alarms and stereo's. Bose has to be sent back to their factory for complete stereo refurbishment. I guess systems are cheap enough to replace today. Corvette uses Bose.....very expensive to replace. A rebuild is half the price.
