yeah but aren't the rancho lifts the ones that can never be taken off? also is that expensive for a lift or not too bad?

Thanks for the thumbs up on the looks. The Yokohama tires really feel good in every situation I have been in thus far. I wouldn't mind a suspension lift to get a couple more inches up, but I think because of the torsion bar set-up the lifts are a little more expensive than normal. It actually looks better when you see it in person, the pics don't really do it. Maybe somebody has already found a good less expensive alternative.

rancho is the only comapny that makes them from 01-03 i believe. thats a bit too expensive IMO. in reality once you lift the truck, why would you want to go through all that work lowering it? im not sure if it's permanent or not

yeah the only reason i ask is because i know that there is a certain lift maker (thought it was rancho but not sure) but once you put it on, you are unable to take it off. i guess i wouldn't ever want to take it off but for some reason or another, like selling it to somebody else, they might not like it and want to remove it i you know what imean..

Honestly after really looking at my truck, I think the only way I would lift it any more is if I put wider rims so I could put bigger tires. Don't think I want to put all that $ in it for what I do. Where it stands now really is nice and I know there are some other guys here that just cranked the bars & blocked the rear and they like it too. It's really personal preference, I really like having my 4X4, but have seen some kick@$$ lowered Dakota's with insane mods that I thought were really cool.

Its surprising becuase the dakota is such a popular truck, especailly our gen but you can't get a lift for less than that $1400. You would think if someone could make a less expensive lift it would sell well.

Almost all Yokohama tires are great. It what happens when you go with a top brand.
