Question Wheel question

Ok so I painted my stock wheels, they were all ready for rubber AND I got a bolt stuck in my tire!! So I limped to tire warehouse and got 4 shiny new Yokohama Geolander ATs.The stock rims were and still are 45mi from my apartment at my parents house. This is old news it happened end of august or beginning of september. Now only problem is that they are on my American Racing rock crawler rims.

Now my old useless tires are still on my stock rims, to save be a few dollars I would like to take the **** tires off myself. Anyone done this before, is there a good chance I will damage the rims? I dont care bout the old tires so if they get damaged its OK

If it matters the tires to be removed are 31x10.5r15 Dayton Timberland AT

Ok I didnt think bout the sawzall. I might saw off most then the bead should be loose and I can just cut that off after

Thanks for the idea, anyone see any issues with this? Even tho I saw a set of 17' RT rims with new rubber that Id LOVE to get I dont have $800 lying around. Plus seems a bit high for me...

duct tape. it fixes almost anything but won't help you at all in this situation. do what the other guys said as it will probably be more effective

someone at work said that they can damage aluminum rims. I can buy one from work but first the brand is ****, to be nice and if i was gonna spend that much money Id have my mechanic do them.

I have only bought tires for my truck twice in over 5 years, the wheels for my project car will have much lower sidewalls and after market rims that I REALLY wont want to damage

its easy on truck tires..try doing tractor meats....

deflate the tire, lay it on its side, jump on the tire a couple times to break the bead, shouldnt be too hard
then while standing on the tire, use a cut off wheel to just cut the tire from bead to bead
(you will have to flip the tire over and do it to the other side but you should be able to figure that out)
