Talking 2002 dakota 4.7 to 5.9

hey i know there other post of 3.9 swap but that doesnt answer my q i have a 02 4.7 5sp code #ddc and i want 2 do the swap what do i have 2 do thanx.

you have to...
1. remove old motor and trans
2. place new motor in proper location
3. install motor mounts from new engine
4. run every wire that came from the donor vehicle
5. fire it up
6. use your words, its taken thousands of years for the english language to be created, use your education.

all that im saying is i havent seen a post about a 4.7 doing the swap i seen a couple 3.9

yes you HAVE seen several posts bout it. Why do you even want to do the swap? The 4.7 is a good motor and has after market support. Cant be that big of a gain. The 5.9 is the best upgrade for the 3.9 for the money.

Its all bout need vs cost. I dont think the swap is a good option for your situation.

if im not mistaken.... the 4.7 and 5.9 motor mounts are very similar... i really dont know for sure though.
im more of a suspension guy...

horsepower on the engines are similar but the 5.9 has the low end

yea it has 100 ft.lbs more than mine i just feel like doing an intake exhaust spark plugs and a cooler thermostat isnt going to make that much of a difference
