yeah the 4.7 with the 5 speed is actually putting down about the same power as the 5.9 w/ the 46RE, due to the automatics (5.9) power sapping problems. sure it has the low end, but you can take care of all of that for much less by putting on a S/C.

Yeah Iv said before I would take my 5spd 4.7 over that 5.9 auto combo anyday. Really the 4.7 is not that far off in power and if your going to spend that much time and money swapping a 5.9 in you might as well do cams or something to the 4.7. Plus you could do a programable tuner, exhaust, cai, and all that and gain a good bit of power. If you wanna do the swap go for it i guess, but I don't think I would. I love my 4.7.

bryant do they make a s/c kit for the 4.7? Because if they I would much rather through s/c on there then swap in a 5.9.

they do have a blower for the 4.7, however if im not mistaken, one of the companies has discontinued manufacturing of the blowers.

yeah Kenne Bell makes one that makes the power go from 193 to 269 (at the wheels) and the torque up from 253 to 280. here is the link

If they made it once a patient person could find one for sale even after being discontinued.
