Off road Rims
So I'm looking into getting a set of offroad rims for my dakota and have come across a slight problem. Cast alluminium or steel? I know steel is much stronger but I don't know how strong cast aluminium really is. I also am having a problem with the offset and backspacing. What is the proper off set and backspacing for our trucks? Thanks in advance.

steel.
with an al wheel, if it gets hit it will crack, steel will bend
the steel one usually can be fixed whereas aluminum ones are junk.
i belive offset is 0 or go negative if you run big rubbers

biggest offset you can get is -34mm with steels on 16 I believe. Unless you run weld in centers!
But whatever you do go with a set of black steels and don't worry about them, if you wreck them you wreck them go buy some new ones.

yes get steel, you can drive home on a bent steelie not a broken aluminum rim. Thats what I got and have been quite happy with them.
