When I bought my new '04 slt I got a Dodge hood deflector and installed it myself. It goes over the chrome and covers the top of the crome grill. Now, I have seen a few trucks with deflectors that fit between the grill and the hood...I would like to cut the lip off the bottom of mine and put it between the grill and the hood. Has anyone done this? It looks way better than hiding the top of the grill.

Never done that but I have one that fits between the grille and hood. If I remember right the deflector just has tabs that slide down in between the grille and hood, and when you re-tighten the bolts on the inside of the hood it pinches it in place. Mines a 99 though, so I don't know if anythings changed on the newer models.
