yeah you can still get decent sound without buying all high quality brand name stuff, i had 2 12's in a band pass box with a 680w radio shack amp that was like 10 years old that i got for free and it lasted the whole time i had my jeep (2 years) and in the jeep when i gave it to my sister (1 year) untill i took it out and blew the amp trying to put it in my truck. it would bump crazy hard and sounded nice, granted its not going to be as crisp and clean as the brand name expensive stuff but you can build a system on a budget. search around here and on other forums there are some guys that have build some pretty decent boxes under the rear seats for pretty cheap and you can't even tell that they are there

I never listen to the radio or cds, all my music is loaded on my ipod in my glovebox ran to the back of the Deck, none of that "transmitter" crap.
How is your Kenwood deck??
and how did you run that through your glove box? I have been toying with that idea but, unless my memory fails me, the back end of the glove box is open and my worry is that the iPod would slide out and fall into the cavity. I was thinking of maybe drilling a hole into the wall of the glove box and running the iPod cable through that. Would that work?

I ran mine into the center council. Ran the cord under the cup holders and into the center. Works well.
