subs in a regular cab

Default subs in a regular cab

i have a 01 regular cab dodge dakota and i want to put my 12in sub in ...i have found some sub cases that are 4.5" at the top and 6 at the bottom..anyone have regular cab setups that could give me some tips?? thanks

i built a custom box that was 5 at the top and 9 at the bottom and i ended up trimming it down two inches. I have a 99 dodge d but i dont know what the differneces are. I think in mine 4 on top and 8 on the bottom would have been perfect by 21 inches. This is only if you cut the back wall piece.

is it a center console or a behind the bench setup?
either way, a custom box would probably be the easiest.
the big thing is to make sure the airspace in the box is enough for that sub, a box too small will restrict cone movement, killing the sound quality and wearing the sub out much faster, could take years off the life of the sub

At least its a regular cab, try putting any subs in a QC.. Installing anything is a nightmare. I decided to take out my driver side rear seat...But when you are building this box def consider your subs recomended volume..Rockford Fosgate has a great volume calc http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/box_wizard.asp , put your box design ideas in and see what works. Good luck with the install
