welcome.. search the forum. theres plenty of information pertaining to the basic mods that you mentioned. give you an idea i have the K&N intake for the 5.9 v8, magnaflow cat back exhaust, ngk v-power plugs (people go with the autolite 3923 plus or w.e the number is, it's one heat range colder than stock), napa premium wires. il be poping in the 180 t stat come spring time. and invest in a superchips programmer for giggles. adds a decent amount of ponies under the hood for the v6 for the price. you can find em on ebay for around $200. btw i have a v6 also.

A generic style will be fine, or you can make your own intake. and yes the V8 TB is a very good mod to do, i've done it to my truck. Autolite 3923's gapped at .040 are a good mod to do also. Try www.summitracing.com for things like cold air intakes and exhasts. if you want to spend some money on expensive mods try www.hughesengines.com they are mopar experts. Another really good mod to do is the harland sharp 1.7 ratio non-adjustable roller rockers. the rockers and a v8 TB are said to give you up to 30 horsepower at the wheels by themselves. you can find them on summitracing.com for about 300$ and you'll have to look around in junkyards or for someone selling one on a forum for a v8 tb. remember, any 5.2/5.9 from a ram or dakota 97-03 will be the same. you will also need a v8 throttle cable because the part that attached to the TB is different.
good luck.

welcome to the forum, my best bet is the cheap(er) intake off of ebay, its got all the potential of the K&N but at a 5th the cost. exhaust wise, go to a local shop and get them to do something for you (that way you can see what you like)

cheers

www.sctflash.com has some nice programming for the v6. I've done quite a few with really nice feedback. You'd probably be looking at $449 for that.

no that will not work with the any v6. read about the item before youre ready to jump into something, get to know your truck too before you do any modifications. you can however fit a 5.2/5.9 v8 throttle body only, not the entire intake manifold, onto a 3.9L v6 intake manifold.

Woah, you bought a $140 intake manifold for a 4.7L? Bit of a hair trigger on this one...
