Default 4.7 v8 r/t???

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qbrpn...&feature=email

look for yourselves. i had it out with this guy about it not being a true r/t and he begged the differ cause it was " custom ordered with the r/t package and the 4.7 v8". all in all the 5.9 defines an r/t as an r/t IMO, plus the suspension and all the other goodies. what do you guys think? maybe im missing something, idk. almost near certain im right about this. gonna need user and r/t on this one.

It's not an R/T. The only 4.7l R/T's are 3rd gen and it's pretty much an appearance package other than the HO engine (which was possible to get without the R/T package).

my comment to that guy:

"thats not an R/T idiot, go run the VIN number at a dodge dealer, no where in the description will it say "R/T". and dont tell me you special ordered it. all you have is a 4.7 sport with stupid aftermarket wheels. "

im right... im always right. the sooner people realize this, the sooner they can get on with their lives.

i said the same stuff to that guy as wink said. chode boy deleted all my comments and blocked me. what a vagine. has to go hiding, afraid of being wrong and mocked over the internet. grow some marbles. gotta lay off the krispy kreams and german chocolate cake.. then again, german chocolate cake is too good for his lipid self. i sent him a message. i always have the last laugh.

"see... im not the only one who knows for fact that 4.7 dakota is not an r/t. keep jerking off on those wheels to keep them shiny."

For 1998-2002, there is apparently no position digit that ID's an R/T. Some say a "Z" in the 8th position means it's an R/T. While it does mean it has a 5.9L V8, I seem to remember you could get a 5.9L without it being an R/T. A quick Google search also brings up others saying a "Z" is not a tell-tail sign of an R/T, either.

For 2003 and 2004, according to the Chrysler VIN ID chart provided with the parts manuals, if the 6th position of the VIN is a "7" that means you have an R/T.
2004 did not have the 5.9L.

None the less, I seem to remember the R/T only coming with the 5.9L.

*edit* Although yea, running the VIN at the dealer will tell very quickly if the truck is a REAL R/T.

the only other way you could get a 5.9 with with a quad cab, and that is definately not an R/T.

The guy also owns a VW "New Beetle." He's obviously's got mental issues. Go easy on him.
