my dakota that i bought last week is already breaking down
yea, believe it or not thats what causes it alot of times. when my buddy's ctm went out at first it only happened when it was raining outside. somehow moisture was getting in there and screwing it up, but eventually it just quit working all together. I'd say you should try to get it replaced by the dealer you got it from since you JUST got it.
i took it to the dealer today they also have a garage there they said they would deal with it for as cheap as possible possibly free but then they gave me the talk about how i bought the truck and all its problems are mine and even though it happened only 5 days after i took ownership of it they dont need to cover anything. so i hopefully it works out for free or really cheap or ill have some blood on my hands haha. thanks for your thoughts everyone
my only advice is they call them "stealerships" for a reason. be carefull if they come back with some rediculas bill then walk....... take it to a referred mechanic who won't empty your bank account with needless repairs. if they do it free then u have the most honest dealer ive heard of to date lol.
goodluck

I don't know what state you live in but in most states there are lemon laws which make it so if you get screwed and the tranny falls out a week after you buy it, you can make them repair it. It happened with my 3.9. The motor blew a few days after I had it and they had to fix it for free. Its just bull if you buy something and a week later it falls apart. I wanted to beat the **** out of the guy that sold me my first truck. Just a down right low life ***.
just picked up the truck today. apparently it was the ctw that went which controls the lights, wipers, that sorta thing and the 4x4 was messed because a ground wire had burnt or somethin. they also fised my power steering hose....... for FREE everything was free cant be to upset about that one.
