maybe i'm just warped :P I used to drive a 250 HP 7000 pound dually (had all the torque through gearing it needed, but nosed out at 60 MPH and 4000 RPMs....), and my dad's truck with the hemi just doesn't seem like the torque is ever there to do darn near anything.

the superchips is $380....and i'm in college. conflict of nonexistant $$.

from rival website:

If you want to do it, It is the TCM module right behind the passenger side headlight. The torque management wire is the yellow wire with the green stripe. OR you can open the cover for the TCM and pull the #10 pin. Either will work its the same wire.

With mine, I just opened up the wire bundle and looked for the yellow W green striped wire and cut it. I had no intensions of putting it back on. Some have just pulled the pin so that they can reconect it, and some have spliced the wire and ran it to a toggle switch so that they can turn it on and off at will.

THIS WILL ONLY WORK ON THE 45RFE TRANNY, IT WILL NOT WORK ON THE 5-45RFE TRANNY................. The pcm and tcm on the 5-45rfe are one unit. Whereas the tcm and pcm are seperate units on the 45rfe. If you cut the yellow/green stripe wire on the 5-45rfe your truck will go into limp mode!
I have the 45 right?

we both have the 42re. that mod is exclusive for the 4.7 v8, possibly the 3.7 v6. not the 3.9v6 5.2/5.9 v8.

v8 MAKES A BIG difference believe me.

and millage doesn't even change by much, of course the 5.9 makes a big chunk but i lost maybe 1 mpg compared to the v6.

But with my new axles il have a new ratio. of about 3.91

yes you have a 42re. My friend has a 3.7 and it has the 45re we are thinking about getting the 4.7 for his truck.

http://magnethead794.com/001_3.avi

I made myself a camera mount for SCCAing, i think it'll stay in place.

Now that i look, i'm not sure if i did that in 1st or 2nd. Based on the wheel hop, i'm pretty sure it was 1st. Oh, and don't worry. The speed limit where it merges in is a blinding 70 MPH. Most people go 75-80, and it makes for fun merging, coming off a 30 MPH city road.
