Okay, so this is very strange. All of a sudden, the recliner for the front seat broke. I'm assuming that its some sort of bracket?

Basically it never locks, so the backrest of the front drivers seat is leaned waaay back to basically the back seat. And if you hit the brakes, the seatback goes foward. The handle for the seat also doesnt work at all.

Anyone know of a fix for this WITHOUT buying a new seat?

 

No but, take the seat out. (Your gonna have to anyways if you gotta replace it).
Flip it over and see if you spot the prob. If not, pull the seat cover and check.
Maybe you'll spot the problem and be able to repair it. Pass on the fix to the rest of us slobs
for the future reference.

 

i know the thing on the back of my seat stripped out the screws and was not allowing me to move it which is the opposite problem but maybe you could check that out too
