well, technically any engine dodge put in a truck is a "magnum". if you notice, even the hemi rams say "hemi magnum" on them.
but i think since the old LA engines were the first to be deemed "magnum" motors, they are thought of as the original, and still.... the greatest.
some people, me included, just dont like change and/or refuse to accept it. therefore, in my eyes, only the 3.9/5.2/5.9 and any engine derived from them (stroked, bored, or otherwise) are "magnum" engines.
and you third generation guys go back to your hole. lol
Altairs right even my stock air box says 4.7 Magnum a crossed it... damn hater
well, no argument there, i am a hater. now take your clean truck back to your 3rd gen hideout and talk about.... whatever you guys talk about that isn't performance related
guess you have never heard of a buick grand national? I know a guy that was selling a 3.9, i will ask tomorrow and see if he still has it.
yeah the grand national, even the new GTR... don't matter, IMO V8's are better, sound better and can have more stuff done to it... don't get me wrong, there are plenty of V6's that have amaizing potential n stuff (GMC Typhoon/Syclone etc) but small/big block V8 are classic and have been tried and true to the point where they are still the most commonly used for high performance applications.
i do agree 100%, it can be the baddest v6 ever built but they still sound like a moose with a ***** up its *** in the upper RPM's, believe me, i used to have one(hence the username).
my v6 can break the speed limit and thats all i need, yours v8's can get you to break the speed limit enough to possibly get put in jail haha. but mines all i need
