ok, so i had some questions...... will i be able to use the system with a MSD6al box or will i have to get something else because of the need to retard timing? also, will will i still be able to get a superchips 3815 tuner with the n2o? i know those things advance timing significantly also. i am gonna wait until i get a M1 and 1.7's to do all the work. mt birthday is march 15th so i should get enough $$$ to get the ball rolling on all this crap. i figure b-day $ = M1 and next paycheck = 1.7's and then maybe i will get a 6al or 3815 depending weather or not i can run either one. let me know guys. i appreciate the help.


EDIT: i also need to get nough $$$ to get that hood on and painted soon, and thats going to take priority because i got b*tched at every day by my parents to get it out of my garage, so now its in my room and i barely have enough room to breathe in there. lol

get a cam and some solid 1.6's instead. Especially if your going to be shooting nos into it.

nuts to a cam, i dont have that kind of time to burn. i still need to get to work and school everyday. beside 1.7 are dummy proof, cams i have to worry about duration and LSA and not freaking out the PCM...blahblah9xm.gif

you realize i am on a college budget my paycheck gets divided accordingly:

10% rammen noodles and easy mac
10% women (either dates or the titty club)
25% loans
15% beer and tobacco
20% bills
10% truck
9% recreation
1% dollar menu at 3 am when i'm drunk

i do believe you will have to get a different ignition with a timing retard option, and i also dont think a superchips will work with nitrous. and if you're going to be doing serious ignition work, a superchips might ruin it... but then again what the hell do i know.

DO not use the programmer with N2O, you CAN use MSD 6a, and you CAN buy a separate retard box, for every 50hp you need to turn down the timing by 1, so if your going to run a 100 or 150 then its -2 or 3 timing.

Also DO NOT use the Mopar PCM or get a custom (can) flash...

I suggest saving your money, and buying the unlimited tune package from Hemifever and buy his SCT tuner.... it comes with 3 can tunes, but with an extra 250$ and a A/F Data log he can tune it perfect for the nitrous.

I plan to run my nitrous is to have a tune for N2o, N/A, and Fuel Econ. Since the SCT will hold up to 3 custom tunes, it works perfect, when im racing street ill use the N/A tune, at the track ill use the N20 tune, and daily driving back and forth to work ill use the fuel enoco tune.

The SCT is 450+250 for unlimited custom tunes from a very good person, you will also need to KNOW someone that has one or buy one yourself.. and that is a Wide band A/F Data logger. I'm going with a LM2 Innovative Wideband Its like 400$ or so.

Nitrous is not cheap, you might have got a deal on that kit, but to run it SAFELY and get the best out of the shot... you will need to have it tuned for it, anything that advances timing is VERY bad.. msd does not advance timing just a better spark.

After its all said and done, im going to be running either a 100-150shot.

I woudn't plan to install it anytime soon, from what i see in the pick you still need A LOT of parts to actually make it work "good", switch panel, gauge pod, nitrous pressure gauge, purge, pills for a Dodge, electric bottle opener, ect...

I have...
Fuel Pressure gauge
Nitrous Bottle
Nitrous Pressure gauge
Bottle Heater
Electric Bottle Opener
Pills
Lines
Solinoids
Brackets

and i still have to buy...

Switch Panel
Purge
N2O Plate for my 4bbl
Dash Bezal (for custom gauge location)

Ive already spent, 150 on the bottle heater, 100 for the n2o pressure guage, 150 for bottle opener, 180 or 200 for the Nitrous Kit.

The switch panel cost about 150$, Purge is a good 100-150$, Plate is 150$+, Dash bezal 150$, ect crap i need about 100$


all said and done its going to be about 1000+ on just the nitrous crap...

+ 700 for SCT, 400 for Wideband

thats 1000 alone...

2000$ and ill safely be able to run N2o with a DAMN good Custom Tune

and im dropping 3000$ for a new tranny to handle the torque and hp.

Ive been reasearching the **** out of n2o ever since i bought my kit.. and its awesome, but if you dont want to blow up your motor you will need atleast a damn good tune..

ok.......wow. well i appreciate the input user. i knew about the timing situation, thats why i was in a pickle with tuner. also i know not to run it until im absolutely ready, people break sh*t like that all the time. thanks man. as for tuning, thats a whole different thing, i might just go with 75 shot and get a timing retard box and call it a day, that is, until i have enough dough to go get it tuned professionally.
