My blower motor doesn't work. I hook up manifold gauges to do a performance test on the a/c. The high speed for the blower stopped working. I drove it outside and the blower stopped working all together. Its not the blower. I tested that, its fine.
My 03 dakota, the heat/ AC only works with the **** set to full blast. Anything else it doesn't work.... Been like it since I bought it used a few years ago.... So its either full heat, or no heat... kinda sucks.
It's the blower motor resistor pack. It's a common problem on Dodges. A new one at the dealer is about 15 bucks. 10 minutes to replace. Get the new one at the dealer, they recently did a redesign on the part with even better and longer lasting components.

our 77 GMC dually and 87 camaro had it fail too. I think it's a common failure on anything.
I looked into the problem more in depth today, it wasnt the resistor pack it was the wiring harness that plugs into the resistor. it looked like it got shorted out and melted together. the plug was all burnt up and a new harness is 72 at the dodge dealer, so i am going to try and make a new plug myself.

Had that happen before too. Think it was the dually as well. resistors make heat...we know that heat does to plastic.
