i actually bought a can of seafoam today and am running it in my truck... after 100 miles of driving today i haven't seen any smoke (but i only put it into my gas tank tho so that might be the reason)

Well the truck has a 5.2 v-8 and ive taken prety good care of it for the most part besides the every once in a while foot to the floor passing imports on the highway stuff lol. And ive herd of seafoam treatment but ive heard bad and good and i dont know what exactly i should do... But ill take the good advice that ive been given and run some thicker oil in it. Also i noticed that when i put my truck back to stock on the flashpaq 3815 that the engine stoped knocking... i dont want to say that it was "ping" cause i always just left it on the economy setting and i live at 5500 feet.. weird but thanx for your help.

[quote=LoudPedal45;1575237]what engien do you have...and have you rebuilt it?

its a 98 dakota with a 2.5l. it over heated when it had 200k and cracked the head so i replaced it with a stock head and thats about it, its at 270k now, it doesnt burn oil, water or anything but the no.1 rocker arm ticks a little bit, not bad enough to worry about it.
