Default ac issue

since i can't really search for ac here's my issue/question:

after sitting for awhile if you turn on the ac it'll work just fine, very good actually. but after about 10-15 mins, the compressor's clutch will just disengage and not work. and then after awhile it may engage and work for about 10 mins and then dissengage.

so here's my question, is this an elec problem with the clutch kicking off and on or is the compressor itself on the fritz??

have you checked the obvious, such as a worn/loose belt?

its not the compressor. it could either be a system switch either going bad or noticing a problem in the system.

are you just letting the truck idle and sit in place when you do this or are you moving? IMO, the cooling fan can only do so much before the system gets too hot and isnt cooling off the R-134a. thats when you need the ram air effect to cool off the condenser

jump out the high/low pressure switch mounted on the accumulator.
If this solves your problem, you might just need more refrigerant.
