Default Mph Gauge

i recently got my tranny rebuilt and my mph gauge does not work how can i fix it? the garage that did my tranny said they will have to charge me since i did not come back right away with it but it did not bother me until now so how can i fix it my self?

1997 Dakota 5.9L 4x4 ext cab

called a speedometer... check to make sure they plugged sensor back into the wire harness when they re installed the transmission. and id call them out on that. that's a safety issue #1 and #2 didnt you get a warranty for that rebuild?

Yeah but they said that was not on the warranty where should i look for the sensor?

they unplugged it, they touched it, theyre responsible. common logic. argue that point with them. sensor is located at the tail of the transmission. the job apparently is incomplete. if the shop wants a good rep, they will take care of it for you, just argue enough with the manager. remember, the customer is always right.

lol thanks i will do that for sure i will make a scene if i have to because i have a broken leg and cant be getting under that truck all that well

well at least someone who has similar pain. i just had acl surgery on my knee. i gotta get under my truck and do an oil change, sucks

also, its what 5 minutes worth of effort? are they that ****ing lazy?

ok i went down there and after making a big deal out of it they check it out and could not find out why it was doing that i thing the guy lied to me and said he check it but me with a bad leg i could not realling get under there with him so i took it all pissed off and got home and checked it out my self i could not figure out which plug it was i seen two took them off and cleaned them and still no working speedometor so can some one let me know which plug it is so i can trace it back and maybe exact location of the plug thanks alot
