I'd more closely liken the sound of Dodge's radiator cooling methods as jet engine imitations, sound wise....

its NOT the clutch fan, i can still feel and hear that disengage on cold mornings

and i would LOVE to take it on a straight road and try that, but we dont have many long straights that are deserted, (im NOT going to do it on a highway) near were i live, so i guess my dads putting it on the jack stands for me and listening to figure out what to replace (i go back to school this weekend and want it done before i come home for the summer in may )

and thanks for the ideas i have somethings to throw at him (yea he cringed when i said wheel bearing going out on it lol )

ok so i did what you suggested, put it the trans in nuetral, and shut off the engine coming down my street, the noise is still there so it is DEFINITLY the driveline, (i couldnt get the tcase into nuetral while i was rolling tho)

so does anybody know how to check wheel bearings?????????? w/o replacing them

get the tire off the ground, and shake it in and out. If you can add/remove effective camber just by shaking it (or its wobbly), and the lugs are tight....you got stuff waiting to happen. Also it might have a clankety type sound/feel if you just lightly roll it.

ok thanks ill get on that this weekend

btw i rolled it in the driveway in nuetral w/ the engine off and i was able to hear something rubbing on both sides of the truck and only in the front, not sure what that would be, but assume it would be the wheel bearings going

damn more money that i dont have to spend :'(

thanks, i got it to start the turn but as i go into my driveway (which is u shaped kinda) i wasnt able to follow it all the waya round i had to stop it (w/o power brakes) halfway in the road and start it again to park, but i KNOW that it is in the drivetrain now

my driveway, i go in the north entrance btw, i made it almost to the point where it starts to double back before i had to stop it and start her up again
