Default 6 speaker radio Q

okay, i've gone through 2 OEM radios and they just do not work, there's a problem in my truck's wiring somewhere. The radio will change stations like the seek has been pressed and will even change bands ebtween FM/AM. Used to eb only during turns but now even bumps will do it. specifically, if i tap the floor under/around the gas pedal just right it will change bands.

I have the infinity system, with the tweeters in the door piller, 5.25's or whatever in the lower door, and 6x8's or whatever the rear are.

1. Where is the amp, or is there one (i dont see piddly squat under the pass seat)

2. is it simple to use a 1 DIN and spacer or 1.5 DIN aftermarket radio or is there stuff to complicate things?

I'm split if i want to pay the money for the crutchfield kit + radio + shipping or just use walmart.

I have a jensen 100 watt amp + 10" sub, i just need to figure out where i want to put them that would look factoryish and not resonate or anything. But i want to keep the component front set..rears i don't give a turd about.

Here's the only 2 i can find that have what i want/need and fit the budget.

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113MP44...U.html?tp=5684

http://www.crutchfield.com/p_113KDCX...3.html?tp=5684

one has 2.5 volt preamps, other has 4 volt.

suppose i need to know more about the factory amp and wiring before i chose, since that's alot of pre-amp variance?

I re-did my whole infinity system if want some wiring pics. Not sure if they will be the same with the different years though. I tried getting a wiring harness from a few different companies and they all sent me the wrong one.

a general schematic and specification list is all i would need. IE preamp/gain voltage in, input cabling type (so as to be matched to deck RCA outputs) and the such.

I don't know anything about the preamp/gain voltage, I just tested the wires and hooked it all up.
