Thumbs up Some nice, cheap upgrades?

I just bought an '02 Dakota and i'm curious as to what are some nice little add on's i could do with it to spice this baby up a bit? I figure as soon as I am able to i'm going to go out and buy a nice new radio for it from best buy or something. I've always wanted Halogen Lights for a car of mine.. i'm not sure about that though if it would work well with the truck.

This is my first official post on these forums and i'm glad to be a part of the DodgeForum community, can't wait to hear responses! Thanks guys.

if it's a V6, the V8 throttle body + a TV cable adjustment is the cheapest improvement. a superchips, while mostly worth it, is one of the more expensive options.

since its an 02 it would be either a 4.7 or 5.9... how about you give us a little more about the truck, transmission, 2wd or 4x4...

also do a search through the forums, there are like 2 posts like this a week and there are tons of different options out there, search it and hopefully that will help you out

Cheers and welcome to the forum.

Does a V8 throttle body really do that much for you on a V6? How much does it get you for performance? Will it work on the 3.7? Which V8 engine do you want to get the throttle dody off of 4.7, 5.2, 5.9?

idk about the 3.7, but i know that the 3.9 guys take 5.2 or 5.9 TB's and use them. from what i have heard from the V6 guys, they are the shiznit.

Its does make a very noticable difference. Mostly 3000rpm and up. I did notice a small gain in the 2000- 3000rpm range too.

If Im not mistaken the 3.7 and the 3.9 are not the same block and this wont work. But I dont know if there is a newer version of the V8's that you could do this with.
