Take a spin on one of the NEW 4strokers, you will be surprised. I have 2 of the CRF250X's and they are nothing like the old air cooled 4 strokes of the 1990's.
The 4 strokes are here to stay and even they have a hard time passing the Cali. laws to ride off road.
2 stroke 125's were dificult to get the power down, you were either boggin'it clutching the **** out of the thing or the rear wheel spinning and loosing about half of the power it was capable of. Power band like a light switch, on or off.

 

I know what the new 4 strokes are like I raced a kx250f and 450. Even though the 450 pulled like a tractor I still think 2 strokes are more fun.

 

Haha, this thing doesn't have a clutch, or a gear selector.....

 

What?? I was assuming you were talking about a yz125 apparently not?

Well i know its not a tt-r those are 4 strokes... i didn't know yamaha made a 125 2 stroke other than the yz...

 

If it's an automatic clutch I seriously doubt its a 125...probably a 50 or 80. Same principles apply though.

 

Well it hasn't stopped storming/snowing so I haven't even been back outside yet. Off the top of my head I can't remember any markings on it besides Yamaha.

 

I think its probably a pw80 or something... probably not a 125 but it should say on the case or head somewhere easily readable

 

My money is on it's a "Y-Zinger"
Thats the only no clutch no shift yammi i know of.
They had some kind of wierd throttle stop or something so it wouldn't take off on you when kick starting.
